Leon Dore x New Balance 550 "Natural Green" is one of several colorways of the retro basketball shoe designed in collaboration between the New York based streetwear brand and New Balance in April 2021. Originally a performance basketball shoe when it debuted in the late ??80s, the New Balance 550 was quickly phased out of the brand??s footwear offerings due to it not being tied to one player or memorable moment in the NBA. In 2020, Aim?? Leon Dore reached into the depths of New Balance??s archives to bring back the old school hoops shoe, giving it a much deserved second life as a lifestyle look in modern times. Smooth and dotted white leather appears on the upper. A metallic yellow ??N?? logo resides on both sides. Dual Aim?? Leon Dore and ??NB?? branding can be found on the back of the left and right shoe, respectively. A Natural Green leather overlay appears on the collar. The pre-yellowed rubber midsole ties into the New Balance 550??s heritage as a vintage performance basketball shoe. The look is consistent with Aim?? Leon Dore??s other popular 550 collaborations.
